A creation of Just Cause makers Avalanche Studios, Mad Max was released in 2015, closely following the success of the critically acclaimed movie Mad Max: Fury Road. While not strictly based on the film series, the video game is clearly inspired by it, and has profited from the collaboration of franchise’s creator George Miller; the result is an open-world adventure full of action, set in a post-apocalyptic environment, with a particular focus on vehicular combat, and with the player in the guise of the eponymous Mad Max....

The latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 leak comes from TheMW2Ghost, a Twitter account that has accurately leaked Call of Duty news in the past. Even so, fans should always take leaks with a grain of salt. It’s always possible that the leaked information is inaccurate or that plans will change during the development process. The rumor comes from Twitter user and games industry insider Tidux, who claims that the game is now in development by Guerrilla Games. The move would make sense, especially if it’s already been in development for a few years. A SOCOM title as a launch game for the PS5 could be a potential system seller for Sony. It likely wouldn’t be able to compete with Halo Infinite, which is a launch game for Xbox Project Scarlett, but it would at least provide a compelling reason to pick up a PS5 close to launch....

EA may not have confirmed much about the game so far, but a notorious leaker has now spilled the beans. In a new video, YouTuber AlmightyDaq claims that the next Battlefield game will be Battlefield: Bad Company 3, following Battlefield: Bad Company 2, which released in 2010. The YouTuber says that “various locations across the campaign are revolving around mid and post-Vietnam conflict.” This does include some “Cold War affiliations” but fans should not expect the game to be entirely historically accurate....

The Wii U and 3DS are Nintendo’s last generation of console and handheld respectively, before the two types merged with the Nintendo Switch. The 3DS experienced success during its prime, but the Wii U was always considered a commercial failure. An image of what is apparently the Overwatch 2 logo and popular hero Tracer has appeared online. There is also an image floating around of a supposed Coca-Cola/Overwatch 2 promotion with the same logo. It’s entirely possible that one or both of these images have been faked, so fans should keep that in mind, but even if these Overwatch 2 logos aren’t real, all signs point to the game still being announced at BlizzCon 2019 on November 1....

Farfetch’d, perhaps most notable in recent years for being a Pokemon GO region exclusive, is far from the most popular Gen 1 Pokemon out there. That makes it seem a little odd that Game Freak would decide to design a new evolution for the creature, but maybe that’s exactly why Farfetch’d is apparently getting a new evolution in Pokemon Sword and Shield. According to the leak, Farfetch’d will evolve into a new Pokemon called Sirfetch’d....

The imageboard 4chan is known for being the source of many gaming-related leaks. Most of these turn out to be fake, but enough end up being legit that it’s worth taking notice of this latest example. It claims that both the PlayStation Meeting and the PS5’s unveiling will actually take place on February 5, a full week earlier than originally believed. It is then and there that Sony will allegedly reveal the PS5’s official design, along with its controller, the home screen, and a number of “certain features” and “console specs....

According to Reddit user throwaway1113454, Red Dead Redemption is being remade entirely by Rockstar. It’s not just a remaster. As such, it will have a larger map as well as new features to bring it closer to the experience of Red Dead Redemption 2. Protagonist John Marston’s voice actor, Rob Wiethoff, is reportedly being brought back to record new voicelines that will further solidify the connection between Red Dead Redemption and its prequel followup Red Dead Redemption 2....

Resident Evil Village saw widespread acclaim following its release in May with both fans and game critics alike praising the eighth Resident Evil for its gameplay and story, with fans particularly praising Maggie Robertson’s performance as one of the game’s primary antagonists, Lady Dimitrescu. The game’s success has led many fans to speculate about future DLC to come for the newest Resident Evil. While Capcom has made no official announcement on future content for Village, a recent update to the Polish Xbox Store suggests Resident Evil Village may soon be added to Xbox Game Pass....

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is rumored to be receiving a new perk in the form of two free months of the popular streaming service Hulu. Some Xbox users were, luckily, able to spot the perk before it was removed, as it was possibly done by accident before an official announcement was made by Microsoft. The terms of the perk are rumored to be the fact that users will be able to get two months of Hulu without adverts with a subscription to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan....

According to AnontheNine on Reddit, Bungie is going to be moving away from some of the core concepts of Destiny 2 in Destiny 3. Destiny 2 came under a lot of criticism at launch for its focus on making the series much more accessible to novice players. AnontheNine says that this will not be the case for Destiny 3, with the developer wanting to create a more hardcore and RPG focused experience....

Clearly a collaboration between Konami and Ubisoft, including Raiden in a popular game like Brotherhood is great advertisement for the eventual release of Rising. The two companies have worked together in the past as Assassin’s Creed’s Altair was an unlockable costume in Metal Gear Solid 4, so the turnabout here is not totally surprising. According to Joystiq, gamers will be able to unlock the costume after completing all of the quests inside of the Animus’ brand spanking new “virtual training” mode....

While many gamers are excited for the Next Generation Portable, they must know that Sony hasn’t been shy about putting premium prices on its products. The PS3 was originally released with a $600 price tag, and the PSPGo launched at $250, which was more than the cost of a regular PSP. If these leaked photos are any indication of the actual price of the NGP when it launches, then it will show that Sony is ready to go toe-to-toe with the current handheld champ, Nintendo....

It’s important to remember this is just a rumor. However, when everything is taken into consideration, it seems pretty likely. After all, we’ve had rumors of an October release and a Christmas release… all we really know for sure is that Nintendo will formally announce the release date on September 29. Curiously enough, after posting his tweet of revelation, ’nocchisan’’s account was mysteriously deleted, and the tweet went with him....

Based on some in-game lore, real-world relationships, and small similarities, many are thinking that Kalos, the region of Pokemon X and Y, will feature alongside the new Galar region in Pokemon Sword and Shield. A lot of this has to do with Kalos being based on France and Galar being based on Great Britain, but there are a few details making people believe this is the case. There’s no doubt, the relationship between France and Great Britain is a complicated one, with the two countries sharing a history of war, conquest, and alliances, and in Pokemon X and Y, the story revolves around an event known as the Kalos War 3,000 years prior....

Manchester City and Liverpool are preparing £25 million bids for Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk, according to De Telegraaf. The Dutch publication claims that both Premier League title hopefuls have had every Saints match covered by their scouts for the past two months. Gareth Southgate reportedly is set to be appointed the England manager on a permanent basis — but only if the Three Lions beat rival Scotland in November. That is according to the Daily Mirror, which claims Football Association chiefs have been impressed with Southgate, despite England’s disappointing draw in Slovenia on Tuesday. The FA is said to be pleased with the 46-year-old’s handling of the Wayne Rooney situation as well as his decisiveness in making the huge call to drop the England captain....
