Unfortunately, Sony’s other eighth generation platform, the PlayStation Vita, isn’t experiencing the same success. Sony barely supports the device, and it is being steamrolled in the marketplace by its chief competitor, the Nintendo 3DS. Even though the PS4 has a significant lead in the console sales race, the console doesn’t always win the sales month to month battle - for example, this April, the Xbox One sold more units. This upset can largely be attributed to various promotions that offer the Xbox One for $350, a significant drop from its $400 or $500 suggested retail price, and well below the PlayStation 4’s $400 MSRP....

As spotted by Pure Xbox, industry insider Rand al Thor spoke in a recent episode of the Xbox Two podcast, where he discussed Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda. According to Rand al Thor, Starfield is going to be an Xbox exclusive game, and Microsoft is hoping for the game to launch this coming holiday season. Already under the Xbox Game Studios umbrella are studios such as 343 Industries, Obsidian, Rare, Undead Labs, World’s Edge, and more. On its website, the gaming giant displays titles the studios are now responsible for developing, Age of Empires, Forza, and Halo being a few of the highlights on that list. Outside of Halo being a major Xbox exclusive, PlayStation’s list out-shined Xbox’s efforts in that area. As Microsoft continues to purchase studios, its compendium of titles could increase soon....

YouTuber Tyler McVicker dropped this intriguing news regarding Valve’s interest in Xbox Game Pass in a Q&A session in late March. According to McVicker, Valve is pursuing Xbox Game Pass on Steam, which may surprise some if only because they’d expect it to be Microsoft pursuing Xbox Game Pass on Steam and not the other way around. McVicker doesn’t provide any further information about the situation, nor does he reference any sources....

Presumably, this collection would be similar to the Ezio Trilogy available on PS3 and Xbox 360, and will bundle together the three Assassin’s Creed adventures staring Ezio Auditore da Firenze, arguably the most well-received protagonist in series history. This rumor comes from Marcus Sellars, a writer for various Nintendo-themed online publications that claims to have inside knowledge on the project. According to the now taken down page in the Xbox Games Store, it appears than an open beta for Halo Wars 2 is being planned to launch along side Microsoft’s E3 press conference this coming Monday, June 13. The 13 GB download is no longer available on the store front and players are no longer able to search for it either. Provided this is actually happening, fans can expect to get their hands on it starting next Monday and having access to it until it ends a week later on June 20....

The document in question listed various details about an ‘Xbox 720’, going on for over 50 pages. In it, it said that the console would release in 2013, at the surprisingly reasonable price of $299. It also said that it would come packaged with an updated version of Kinect, simply called ‘Kinect V2’.
