One of the most credible Genshin Impact leakers named Ubatha1 has revealed more information about one of the upcoming characters - Kuki Shinobu, also known as Kuki Ninja. Her official art has confirmed that she will be a new Electro sword character. The leaker claims that she will take the role of a healer in a team composition. When it comes to her rarity, she is expected to be a new four-star character.
Kuki Shinobu will be released alongside a new limited five-star character named Yelan, who is expected to be a Hydro vision holder. Multiple leaks have confirmed that Yelan will arrive in the first banner, and Kuki will be obtainable in the second banner cycle. According to Hoyoverse’s usual update schedule, the first banner should arrive around May 15, which means that Kuki could arrive around June 7.
Both of these characters are expected to have a supportive role which is bad news for players who want a new DPS Genshin Impact character. According to a couple of rumors, she could have several Energy Recharge issues, which can be resolved by acquiring her first constellation. There is still not a lot of information about Kuki’s kit, which is usually the case with new four-star characters.
The official Genshin Impact story has confirmed that Kuki Shinobu is one of the most important members of the famous Arataki gang. Kuki and Arataki Itto could be a big part of the update’s main stories considering that rumors are already hinting that Itto could receive his first banner re-run. His first appearance was back in Genshin Impact update 2.3, and he is still considered to be one of the best DPS characters in the game. Even though Kuki and Itto are very close in the story, it’s hard to imagine that they could have great synergy considering that Itto requires as many Geo characters in his party as possible.
Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is currently in development with no confirmed release date.
