As Ryce states, Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite will launch with a 28-character roster. Much like previous entries, both sides will be balanced in order to each include 14 fighters representing Marvel and Capcom, respectively. Those that would rather be surprised by future reveals – or simply avoid this report entirely – can turn back now, but the supposed roster (sans one Capcom rep) can be found after the image.

Ryce went on to acknowledge that he was unsure of who the final Capcom rep would be, but suggested that it will likely be someone like Frank West of Dead Rising fame. Not quite done there, however, Ryce also stated that Spider-Man villain Venom would be joining the fray as DLC alongside the previously announced downloadable Mega Man X villain, Sigma.

Many fans are disappointed with the final list of fighters for the game, but a blow was bound to come given the inclusion of a fleshed out story mode for Infinite. The promise of add-on content also ensures that more fan-favorite Marvel and Capcom fighters can be added in time, although whether or not Marvel will lighten up on its apparent boycott of Fantastic Four and X-Men characters is still up in the air.

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite is set to arrive for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 19, 2017.
