Roger Clark officially confirmed that he’s working with Troy Baker, as well as World on Fire actress Julia Brown, on a project from Fallen Leaf Studios. Clark, however, didn’t share any specific details about the project. He simply described it as “something rather special” and tagged motion capture studio Centroid3D in the tweet.

A report/press release then followed from Polish website Strefa claiming that Fallen Leaf had officially announced Fort Solis with a trailer and additional game details. In Fort Solis, Jacek and Jessica respond to an SOS signal on Mars, only for a sandstorm to trap them in what quickly becomes a nightmare. It’s a third-person horror game planned for release on PC and consoles in early 2023.

Other details include that Fort Solis will be built on Unreal Engine 5 technology, and that it will feature ray tracing and full motion capture. Fallen Leaf co-founder James Tinsdale apparently went as far as saying that Fort Solis will “resemble a Netflix series” more than a video game, highlighting the team’s goal of making the project a spectacle. However, there’s no secondary source for these details or Fort Solis’ announcement at all.

At the very least, Fort Solis does appear to be the title of the new game. It’s one of the hashtags that Roger Clark includes in his Twitter post. The rest, however, remains unconfirmed. Strefa’s report appears entirely reliable, but a formal announcement and trailer for Fort Solis has obviously not been shared yet. Until then, interested gamers should take the announcement with a grain of salt. News is likely coming soon.

Fallen Leaf is a new, independent studio, said to have 20 employees working at two different locations. With no apparent formal game releases, it’s impossible to make any assumptions about its current work. All that’s clear is that it has secured some very impressive voice talent for the project, implying that it has a robust budget and lofty aspirations. Needless to say, Fort Solis is going to pique some gamers’ interest.

Fort Solis is a rumored project in development for PC and consoles.
