Unfortunately, PS Plus Premium’s PSP offerings have been lacking since the service launched earlier this year. While many subscribers have been underwhelmed by PS Plus Premium’s classic games generally, the PSP library seems to be especially neglected. Luckily, it looks like PSP fans’ fortunes may soon be turning around, if a recent leak is to be believed.

As pointed out by Push Square, the PlayStation Store has leaked the PSP version of the original Star Wars Battlefront 2 as a new game coming to the PS Plus Premium lineup. While some fans may be happy to see any PSP game added to PS Plus Premium, it’s worth pointing out that the PSP version of Star Wars Battlefront 2 was not nearly as well-received as its PS2 counterpart, so some fans may still be a little frustrated by this development.

It should be stressed that no official announcements about the PSP version of Star Wars Battlefront 2 coming to PS Plus Premium have been made at the time of this writing. The way Sony typically handles PS Plus Premium reveals, it’s likely fans will have to wait a couple of weeks before word will come about the new PS Plus Premium games for December 2022. Whenever the announcement does come, it will be interesting to see if this leak is accurate and if any other PSP games will be joining Star Wars Battlefront 2 in its journey to PS Plus Premium this month.

While PS Plus subscribers wait for more news on the PS Plus Extra and Premium additions for December 2022, they can look forward to the monthly free games. The free PS Plus games for November 2022 are still available to claim for a limited time, while the free PS Plus games for December 2022 will be up for grabs come Tuesday, December 6. On that day, PS Plus subscribers across all tiers can grab Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, Biomutant, and Divine Knockout for their digital libraries on PS4 and PS5.
