Napoli could offer Mauro Icardi a route out of Inter Milan in January, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Comments in the striker’s recently released autobiography have caused controversy at the San Siro, with Icardi incurring the wrath of a fan base now calling for him to be stripped of the captaincy and moved out of the club.
Napoli came close to reaching an agreement over the summer, before Icardi eventually signed fresh terms with Inter, but the club could be tempted to rekindle its interest as reports suggest it could now get the 23-year-old for as little as 60 million euros ($66M) – considerably less than his €110 million release clause.
