Kallstrom suffered a back injury in his first training session with Arsenal and was subsequently ruled out for atleast 2 months. The back injury that he got while at Spartak Moscow was sustained while playing beach volleyball. He then aggravated the back injury that he suffered a week back at Arsenal.
The 31 year old is a very experienced player as he has featured in one World Cup and has had regular game time in the Champions league. He was Arsenal’s only signing of the January window this season and the club as well as the fans will be disappointed that he will not feature for some time to come.
The official word is yet to be out on whether Arsenal really want to offload him so quickly as his loan contract runs for 6 months.
