The Frenchman led Arsenal to their first trophy in 9 years on Saturday as they defeated Hull City to win the FA Cup at Wembley. It was reported that should Wenger have lost the final, he would have still signed a new contract with the hierarchy keen to keep the Frenchman.
However, after the success the board are now keen to reward Wenger with an £8 million-a-year contract and he has confirmed that the deal will be officially agreed before he flies to Brazil to be a pundit for French TV station TF1.
